LOCAL AND HANDMADE
We are a fruit-forward focused coffee program meaning that through our roasting we like to highlight the sweetness, juiciness and fruit-like characteristics of the coffees we source. As former NYC dwellers, the pantry team has a great love of locally made products such as our full line of in-house bottled beverages, elixirs, tonics, teas and wholesale keg line.
HOW THE PANTRY STARTED ROASTING
We owned one of the first specialty coffee shops in the Bedford-Stuyvesant area of Brooklyn when Intelligentsia was really just coming on to the market. After moving to the Hudson Valley area we were simply a multi-roaster coffee shop that worked with some of the best specialty roasters, learning the trending tools of the trade.
In 2015 we started roasting our own coffee (we knew what we wanted to roast!), and have since moved into packaging a full beverage suite that is complementary to our coffee program (teas, elixirs, chai concentrate). We love super bright, fruit forward coffees and try our best to source the finest and most adventurous beans we can.
LEADING THE WAY
We are pioneering third wave coffee in the Hudson Valley. It's weekend heavy and sometimes seasonal in terms of the traffic moving in and out of our space. While not everyone is willing to tackle an emerging market like we are, we welcome the challenge and look forward to continue serving our local community.
